Is Northquest Finance licensed? Yes, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has licensed Northquest Finance as a Finance Company. You don't have to take our word for it either - you can check our listing directly on the CBN's official register here: https://www.cbn.gov.ng/supervision/Inst-FC.html. If you'd like a walkthrough on how to verify, here's how: Visit the CBN website, access the Finance Companies register, search for "Northquest Finance," and confirm the details match our information.
Is my money safe? Are you covered by NDIC? We are covered by CBN regulation, not NDIC, because we do not hold the funds directly; as a Finance Company, we operate under CBN's requirements instead.
Who holds my funds, and what does Northquest do with them? Your money doesn't just sit idle; we put it to work responsibly. We generate returns by investing customer funds across a diversified portfolio: fixed income instruments (like treasury bills and government bonds), mutual funds, equities and ETFs, real estate, and private credit. Spreading investments this way helps us protect your capital while still earning you a competitive return.
How old is Northquest? Is this a new, unproven company? Totally fair question to ask before trusting anyone with your savings. Northquest Finance received its CBN license approximately 3 years ago. The wider Northquest Group has been active across real estate, automotive, energy and power, and financial advisory for over 8 years; the app is simply the newest way we're bringing that experience directly to you.
Where is Northquest's office? 8 Oluwakayode Jacobs Cres, Lekki Phase I, Lagos 106104, Lagos, Nigeria
What document confirms my investment?
Every investment you make is recorded on your account in the Northquest app you can see your amount invested, your interest rate, how long it runs, and when it matures, all in one place.
If you need something more formal (like a document to show elsewhere), just reach out to Support and we’ll provide one for you.
Who actually holds and manages my money?
Northquest Finance does, we’re licensed and regulated by the CBN, so this isn’t informal. We manage your funds and are responsible for paying back your principal and the agreed returns, based on the plan you chose.
We invest carefully, not aggressively spreading your money across a mix of safe, high-quality assets rather than putting it all in one place, and we also work with licensed, reputable fund managers to help manage that risk properly.
What happens to my money if Northquest ever shuts down or can’t pay?
We are built to make that scenario very unlikely in the first place, strong capital reserves, a big focus on safe government-backed investments, diversifying across different assets instead of concentrating risk, and working with professional fund managers to keep things well managed. We are also regulated by the CBN, which holds us to specific standards on how we run things.
If something like that ever did happen, you wouldn’t lose your legal claim to your money, you would still be owed it, and it would be handled through the proper legal process. What you’d actually recover would depend on the company’s assets at the time and how recovery is prioritized among everyone owed money.
To be clear: our focus is on never getting there, not on what happens if we do.
Are you licensed by NDIC or SEC?
Not currently, but here's the full picture: we're licensed by the CBN as a Finance Company, NDIC coverage doesn't actually apply to us, since that's specific to deposit money banks, not Finance Companies like Northquest.
On SEC, that license is in progress. In the meantime, we already work with reputable SEC-licensed fund managers as part of how we invest and manage customer funds, so that layer of oversight is already in place through our partners while our own SEC licensing moves forward.
